Chamorro Food Christmas 2014

Christmas is the only time of year that I cook a lot of Chamorro dishes at one time - it's really a coping mechanism. Truth be told, I have no self control when it comes to portions with Chamorro food. Thus, the best method for managing how much I eat, is to cook like this for Christmas Day. Having family over and celebrating good health, kindness, and the joy of giving is the best reason to go crazy in the kitchen.

What did I cook?

Red rice
White rice

Pancit canton
Riyenu

Chicken kelaguen

Bbq ribs & chicken
Smoked turkey

Chicken ala king

Veggies & homemade ranch dressing
Eggplant fina'denne'
Daigo
Fina'denne'

Latiya
Manha titiyas
Walnut sandies

Kimchee from friends

I'm already planning my Christmas menu for next year.....different Chamorro goodies! Till then, enjoy and make the best of this new year coming! I will!!! Cheers to good health, happiness, productivity beyond your wildest dreams, and the love of a great partner.
