MICHELLE'S COFFEE SHOP - YIGO
SUMMER 2017 & 2021
Still love this place! I order the same thing, but this time in 2021 I added their coleslaw -- wow!!!! Love the larger-than-normal cut of the cabbage and carrots. I think they put the dressing on fresh-to-order too -- so good.
SUMMER 2015
What better way to wait on laundry than to spend that time eating delicious food in a clean, cool, and comfortable atmosphere! That's Michelle's Coffee Shop in Yigo. The laundromat is just a few doors to the right.
Oh man, each plate was so much food for about $11.00. I figure I was at the laundromat every four to five days...that means I was at Michelle's around four to five times! I stuck with the meals above because they were just super delish. When on Guam, I always eat half of the plate and bring the other half home...that's one way to keep from gaining weight.
I love the dining area! In general, I did my laundry after a morning workout at Paradise Fitness in Dededo...so laundry duty was from 8 a.m.ish to 10 a.m.ish. I beat the crowd, enjoying peace and quiet, yum food, and aircon.
The only thing missing was free Wi-Fi, but that was cool because this is where I started to read paranormal romance novels. Paranormal romance was way out of my comfort zone, but Larissa Ione did a fantabulous job. I picked up one of her paperbacks at Payless Market in Yigo. The first of her books that I read was from the Lords of Deliverance series. Anyways, Michelle's does provide free newspaper to read, and that was great too! My Samsung Note phone worked on Guam for Wi-Fi where there was internet service. I downloaded a bunch of Larissa's books so I could read at Michelle's.
I had a great childhood growing up on Guam. It was a time when the economy was on overdrive and Guam was super prosperous. These days it's tougher, but as an adult that goes back home and can enjoy every moment with my family, I'm so grateful!
Directions: Coming from Dededo, it's on the right side of Marine Corps. Drive, a little past Payless. If you drive by Our Lady of Lourdes, the blue and white church on the right, you've gone too far.
