CHAMORRO YEAST DOUGHNUTS

Well, I'd call this mornings creation MONSTER doughnuts! They were huge!!!!!

1. I knew I was rolling out the dough thicker than normal.....but didn't think it would puff up that much.
2. The cooked doughnuts were quite oily. If I doubted I didn't use enough flour, this confirmed it.

Ok, so, I am not sure what I was copying, but somehow baking powder made it on the list. Needless to say, I should not have used baking powder.....hence, the humongous doughnuts. And, I ran out of flour as whatever I was copying noted 3 cups.....I only had 7....needed at least 1 more cup. Looks like Sunday will be my second attempt on the CHAMORRO YEAST DOUGHNUTS!
