Poto III from Remember Guam

I needed more pictures to go with my cookbook REMEMBER GUAM. So, two days ago I made the third poto recipe in the book. This is actually my mother-in-law's recipe. She has quite a knack for tasting a dish then working on it for while to come up with a delicious replication.

I chose this recipe cause it is easier to make than the first poto recipe in the book.....in which you must grind the rice kernels yourself! Mmm, even though I used the American rice flour, it was soooooooo delish!! Excellent job mom!

My dance with poto goes as far back as my college years at the University of Oregon in the early to mid 1990's. What a flop I had so many times. With the publication of REMEMBER GUAM, I am happy to report success.....when you cannot get tuba--the alcohol tapped from a coconut tree--in the mainland.
